What this site is
A free planning tool that estimates home improvement costs from typical material, consumable and labor rates. It is an informational calculator. It is not a quote, a bid, a contract, an appraisal, or professional construction advice.
No professional relationship
Using this site does not create a contractor, engineer, architect, inspector or advisor relationship between you and us. Nothing here should be relied on as a substitute for a licensed professional inspecting your actual property.
Acceptable use
- Do not scrape, mirror or bulk-download the site or its content.
- Do not attempt to overwhelm, probe or abuse the AI endpoints.
- Do not use the site to break the law or to misrepresent an estimate as a formal bid from a licensed contractor.
- Do not enter other people's personal information into the tool.
Content ownership
The guides, cost dataset, calculations and site design are ours. Estimates you create are yours; do what you like with them, including sharing an exported proposal with a contractor.
Availability
The site is provided as-is and as-available. Features — particularly the optional AI features — may change, be rate-limited, or be withdrawn at any time without notice.
Limitation of liability
